Jonathan M. Reid

Jonathan Reid has been a co-editor of The Documentary History of the Ratification of the Constitution (DHRC) since 2008. Following Charles Schoenleber’s retirement in the summer of 2017, Jonathan filled the role of DHRC’s managing editor. A specialist in American religious history, Jonathan completed an M.A. at Baylor University, focusing on the religious history of colonial and early national America. Jonathan also completed further graduate work at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he became a Ph.D. candidate (ABD) in 2010. Jonathan eagerly supports civics literacy initiatives, and he regularly serves as a judge for the Center for Civic Education’s flagship program, We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution.
